Delivery Hero ($DHER (-1,16 %)) - Delivery Hero's share, listed in the Dax, suffered a price drop of up to - 30% yesterday. The reason was the poor profit figures and the disappointing outlook. The delivery service posted an adjusted EBITDA margin on gross merchandise sales (GMV) of -2.2 percent in 2021. The company itself had expected a margin of -2.0 percent. For fiscal 2022, management expects a margin of -1.1 percent and also a GMV of 44 to 45 billion euros. According to the experts at Jefferies, this is six percent less than the analyst consensus.
However, a negative EBITDA/GMV margin also means that the Group is light years away from a positive net result. And that in an environment that is normally perfect for delivery services.
Inflation - The price trend in the U.S. is becoming increasingly dramatic: In January, the inflation rate reached its highest level since February 1982, as the U.S. Department of Labor announced on Thursday.
