What do you think of BAE Systems?

The share price rose nicely until March 2024 and the long-term upward trend is still intact in my opinion.

I haven't found anything really dramatic fundamentally either, only the debt might be worth mentioning, but it's not unusually high either.

The share price has been moving sideways since March and I see opportunity costs for my portfolio.

I would be interested in your opinion as I am currently thinking about liquidating my BAE position.

Debt did not look good for H1. This is due to the purchase of Ball Aerospace in February. Will look good again for H2. The current outlook is also very good. I am therefore not liquidating my position. https://www.tradingview.com/symbols/LSE-BA./financials-overview/

I have been invested for a few weeks and will gradually increase my small position over the next few months. The situation in the EU and the USA does not look like easing. The company is growing steadily and has a good mix of profitable products.

I think with a ceasefire/peace in the UKR the price will also plummet again.

Hmm, they have a 37.5% stake in MBDA. They broke ground today for a new plant in Bavaria. From 2027, Patriot systems are to be manufactured here for the first time outside the USA, including for the European armed forces. Up to 1,000 units with a procurement value of over 5.5 billion dollars are planned, as well as thousands of anti-tank weapons for the Eurofighter Brimstone. Taurus production is also possible
