Chinese smartphone manufacturers are stepping up their efforts to gain a foothold in Europe and sell high-quality devices. The Shenzhen-based brand Realme has increased its sales in Europe by 275% and is aiming to increase its market share from 4% to over 10% in the next three to five years. Despite the challenges associated with the market launch in Europe, Realme sees great potential. Other brands such as Honor and Oppo are also planning to expand their premium offerings. What do you think about the competition between Chinese brands and established companies such as Apple $AAPL (+0,52 %) and Samsung $005930 in Europe?

The question is whether they will be allowed to gain a foothold. A lot of it is slowly becoming a question of internal security.

Personally, I prefer Apple or Google systems, I don't think they will get into the upper class. It might be an alternative in the cheapest segment, but I can't imagine that the market share will be reached in 3 to 5 years. As the smartphone itself is a question of faith for most people and also a standard symbol. Then there are the AI offerings for Google and Apple. In my opinion, the lead over the Chinese is already enormous. Then there are the high-performance chips that are also being withheld from the Chinese.
