Playing with the idea of shorting at the start of the coming trading week $SBUX (+0,85 %) to short.

In my opinion, last week's share price movements were somewhat violent for a change of CEO and even if the company benefits from this, we will only be able to see it in the future, at the earliest with the next figures. I therefore think that the pendulum could swing back a good bit in the course of next week.

What is your opinion on this?

Am I missing something, or is there any relevant information/figures due next week that could have a major impact on the share price?

My opinion: If you think long-term, don't underestimate the power of a CEO.

@Portfoliopferd I'm already aware of that, but I don't think Starbucks is doomed either 😂

I would let the short run for a maximum of one week, so a small short-term bet...

I'm rather in two minds about this, but I also think it's more likely to be positive in the long term, although it could be possible in the short term

i wouldn't short anything that belongs on the nasdaq for the near future unless its followed by an abnormal growth the day before

@portfolio_wizard_612 Well then I can do it, take a look at the weekly chart
@Exxsye I think its gonna keep going, up but is your choice!

Would advise against it - Starbucks had its short moments! Now that everything is psychologically better, why short! Look for something with clear signals such as gold long!

@Benchmarc If I do something like this, then only with smaller 3-digit amounts and a small leverage anyway
