SpaceX has launched the Starlink direct connection service for cell phones, allowing non-Starlink users to receive emergency alerts on any cell phone.

In cooperation with T-Mobile
$TMUS (+1,15 %) the service enables free of charge, vital text messages and access to emergency numbers (911) for people in the danger zone of a storm.
