I don't have any ADRs in my portfolio myself. The real benefit of an ADR is that you can participate in the price performance of a share even though you cannot acquire the actual ordinary share in your country of residence. Or, from your point of view, it appears more favorable when assessing the withholding tax on the ordinary share in France, for example, compared to the share certificate in the USA. It's best to read up on this yourself. I have only dealt with this superficially.
