As a total non-smoker, I personally would never invest in this industry. I also don't see a great future due to the ever increasing political pressure worldwide.

•@Vinc Has this political pressure had any effect apart from the success of the ban on advertising in Formula 1? I don't see anything, otherwise we wouldn't have seen a single pack of them in supermarkets, kiosks or vending machines. I don't smoke either and I hate the smoky smell of cigarettes 🚬. However, I see a lot of potential in these tobacco industries. Political pressure or not, especially as the states are dependent on cigarette taxes and are secretly always happy about them as soon as they are collected.

@TheDividendCollector If you look at the plans to increase tobacco tax, I think it will have a big impact. Other countries are already further ahead, see New Zealand, and I think it will rub off globally. I don't see any future in it.
Of course there are also "healthier" alternatives, but I hope and believe that the trend towards better health (nutrition, sport, etc.) is stronger.

•@Vinc Demand will fall in the West, but will increase enormously in Asian countries 🚀 and only China has as many inhabitants as the USA and the EU combined, so I definitely see good potential in the tobacco industry 🚬
