Also think that no one will surpass ASML in EUV. The only way to challenge them would be with an alternative product. Canon $7751 has just developed a chip machine for 5nm or so, which is supposed to be much cheaper. If they can improve on that and come close to 2nm, that would be real competition. I don't see it yet, but who knows what the future holds....

•@PikaPika0105 but $ASML never sleeps and I hardly think that the big players will settle for second best. Demand is likely to become even stronger over the next few years. It will definitely be exciting.

@BamBamInvest I think it will depend on the price. If a comparable product comes onto the market for 20% of ASML's price, it will be tight. But rather tight in the sense of slower growth for ASML, because the business will still develop brilliantly.

•@PikaPika0105 You're right, but the printing technology is also much slower (but more energy efficient) for larger production volumes, there's no getting around $ASML.

•@BamBamInvest probably depends on the customer's financial resources.

•@PikaPika0105 There's enough space for both, but first see if Canon can even get to 2nm and then we'll see how far $ASML is already. I'm actually relatively relaxed about it ✌️
