Anyone interested in investing in gold can also do so at Trade Republic. With the $WGLD (+0,01 %) you also have the possibility to have it delivered. Just like the ones at $EWG2 (-0,3 %) or $4GLD (-0,35 %) gold . For people who don't want to look for another broker because of gold. And I have talked to the support of wissomtree .

WisdomTree Core Physical Gold is backed by physical, allocated physical gold held by HSBC Bank plc (the custodian). The Depositary can only accept metal that complies with the London Bullion Market Association's (LBMA) Good Delivery Regulations. Physical delivery is possible. For questions regarding the process and costs of physical delivery, please consult the FAQs on our Webseite.

Question 1: Can I exchange my Swiss Gold Bullion Securities (SGBS/WGLD) for physical gold?

Yes, all SGBS or WGLD securities entitle the registered holder to receive gold via the CREST system in accordance with the terms and conditions. The relevant quantity of gold is referred to as the Metal Entitlement and is specified by the issuer on its website.

Question 2: In what form can I receive the gold?

Investors can receive gold at their own request in quantities ranging from 1 g to LBMA-certified Good Delivery bars of approx. 12 kg.

Question 3: What is the minimum number of SGBS I must return?

Since the minimum redemption cost is 1 ounce of gold per redemption, investors must realize a value of more than 1 ounce of gold with the redemption of securities

and because of tax they said this

The Issuer has issued the following statement in relation to the German tax status of WisdomTree Core Physical Gold:

"We hereby wish to confirm to WM Daten that, in our opinion, the bond with the (ISIN JE00BN2CJ301/ WKN A3GNFN) is not a capital claim within the meaning of Section 20 (1) No. 7 EStG. The gains from the sale or redemption of the bond referred to in the resolution do not constitute income from capital assets within the meaning of Section 20 (2) sentence 1 no. 7 EStG in conjunction with Section 20 (1) no. 7 EStG. § Section 20 para. 1 no. 7 EStG. No capital gains tax is to be withheld. Gains and losses are generally taxable as private sales transactions in accordance with Section 23 (1) sentence 1 no. 2 EStG if there is no more than one year between acquisition and sale/redemption.

Thank you. The nice thing about WisdomTree is the easy transparency, which you don't have with Ishares. I use the same ETC (WGLD). I personally find gold an important component in the portfolio. It is also important to pay attention to how high the delivery quantity is. With WGLD it is from 1g, but there is also gold where the minimum quantity is from 1 ounce. This means that you currently need to have invested €2,700 in gold.
