After I unfortunately missed the dip at the beginning of August, at least the increase in my $MUV2 (-0,85 %) position is bearing fruit. I now have 20 shares and will reinvest the dividend directly next year.

Do you think we will see a split here in the medium term, as the share price is by far the highest in the DAX?

I also wonder why Split and by far the highest price in the DAX?
Take a look at $RHM - its share price is significantly higher than $MUV2 I would say. And as @Xantia already said, why split if money is still being spent to buy back shares in order to further increase the share price.
Please look and inform yourself first before making such statements.

@Dividenden-Sammler Good tip, I don't always have them on my screen as they are not in the portfolio. Then just the second highest price 😬

@Dividenden-Sammler I don't understand your logic.
After all, no new shares are issued as in the case of a capital increase.
Whether they buy back shares for €500 million at €500 or €50 is irrelevant. The effect remains the same.

@Der_Dividenden_Monteur then you misunderstood me. $MUV2 is buying back shares. This normally increases the share price as there are fewer shares in circulation - higher earnings per share etc. Why would the company now split its shares to reduce the share price with more shares if it is simultaneously buying back shares and thus reducing them?
In a stock split, new shares are issued and distributed among the existing shareholders.

Would be too expensive for me at the moment

Very cool😎 would also like to get in, but can't find an entry point at the moment... unfortunately didn't take the dip at the beginning of August either. Now they have already risen brutally again...

@CuriousBrewery just make a savings plan, then you don't have to hope for a natural disaster that the price will fall again.

@Xantia you "cheapen" the share and make it accessible to a larger audience and can then collect shares again with the ongoing buyback programs. This is currently a somewhat hypothetical question

@Xantia For a company, it is completely irrelevant whether they buy back one share for €500 or 10 for €500
