The ETF in the USA is not a debt security but a normal asset that must also be managed separately as a special asset. The difference with us is that the asset is not on the balance sheet of the company and is therefore not exposed to insolvency.
ETPs are bonds and only give you the right to the asset. However, if the company goes bankrupt, you may not be able to claim everything

@Marcel3008 Put simply, you could say that. You can't buy BTC ETFs in Germany anyway. In addition, many ETCs are hedged separately, so they don't have to be less secure. 👍
