I haven't read into this in depth and am just commenting from my gut. But with Modi's India-first policy and his ideological roots in the RSS, I imagine Musk could lose out.
@Ash This is already shown by the policy that investors in India can almost only invest in companies via ADRs. That's why I don't think Musk will be able to assert himself in India Other large corporations have already failed here.
