Yesterday there was a flood of numbers. Let's see ⤵️


During the day and after-hours, some quarterly figures came in yesterday. I am curious to see how the market reacts to these. Since yesterday was generally a good day, which came but certainly more by the FED call, could today on the positive numbers also times a few profit-taking occur. Later we will know more:

Apple beat analyst estimates of $1.39 in the fourth quarter with earnings per share of $1.46. Revenue of $89.5 billion exceeded expectations of $89.34 billion.

  • Apple iPhone sales in the fourth quarter at $43.8 billion (consensus $43.4 billion, year ago $42.6 billion).
  • Apple service revenue in the fourth quarter at $22.3 billion (consensus $21.6 billion, prior year $19.2 billion).
  • Apple Mac revenue in the fourth quarter at $7.6 billion (consensus 8.8 billion, previous year 11.5 billion).
  • Apple iPad revenue in the fourth quarter at $6.4 billion (consensus 5.9 billion, previous year 7.2 billion).

Apple expects first-quarter revenue to be similar to the year-ago quarter (117.2 billion), which would be below the current consensus (123.3 billion).

In the conference call Apple announced that they have one billion subscriptions across all services and that 66% of all students use a Mac.

Novo Nordisk posted Q1-3 revenue of DKK 166.39bn (PY: DKK 128.86bn), Ebit of DKK 75.80bn (PY: DKK 57.72bn) and net income of DKK 61.72bn (PY: DKK 41.93bn). On October 13, the outlook for 2023 was raised, with revenue and operating profit growth at constant exchange rates now expected to be 32-38% and 40-46%, respectively. Sales and operating profit growth in Danish kroner are now expected to be 4 and 7 percentage points lower, respectively, than at constant exchange rates.

In the outlook for 2023, management continues to expect Ebit (adjusted) of at least €2.6 billion (forecast: €2.68 billion) and confirms the targets for 2024.
