A bit late to the party, it will take time for you to see growth materialize.
of course you might probably just be in for the div, but that means you don't plan any margin of safety.

@salvo89ari Buying at a 52W high isn't " right time ".
Proof being that you are already in the red by a dollar 50 per share ( getquin says you bought at 55.89$/sh ).
MO isn't going to grow much more in the near term.
You would have bought at 40$ 6 months ago you would have been far better.

@But_the_Stock_Picked_Me $BTI is more of an European play considering their only strong North American market share is within the vapor sector.
So you must take the perspective of the European Consumer sentiment first.
i also take into account that if Vapor is slowly replacing the traditional cigarette stick, I don't personally see it as the best option and I aim toward the so called " smoke free " product that in my opinion are the future for smokers... and BTI is far away behind the competition in that regard.
BTI also see almost all their sectors revenues being either down or flat with just a few exceptions and starts losing market shares in North America in the vape sector as well than in the UK.
But BTI is also in the middle of their transformation, a transformation that started later than all their competitors. But this transformation should foster growth in the 5 to 10 years to come if correctly executed amid customer spending power recovery, modern products being introduced and a cost cutting program in order to improve margins and reintroduce global efficiency in their business.
In my opinion, and this is not a financial advice, BTI is a value play at current market price which can be bought with extra money within a small position of 2 to 3% in an already diversified portfolio taking into consideration that this money will not grow by much for years and that the value is within the current dividend which seem somewhat safe FOR THE MOMENT with an around 50% payout ratio.
To approach with safety.
