no reporting on the phenomenal share price developments of the last month. but when rumors emerge and there is a -5% one day, they all come crawling out of their holes. Brilliant!

@FinanzFabi The "phenomenal" share price developments (i.e. the gambling of a few speculators that is completely irrelevant to the fundamentals of a company) are of no interest to a trade journal from the gaming market.

They are also clearly more than just rumors, as can be seen from the text (no pre-orders are being accepted, etc.).

Gamestop has been on the brink for years. Everyone, absolutely everyone, who knows anything about the games industry knows that.

@Charmin Unless Gamestop makes an official statement, it is and remains a rumor. There is no doubt that there is probably something to the rumor. Nevertheless, rumor remains rumor until the announcement.

Unfortunately, many people don't realize that fundamentals currently make very little difference in the market.
Gamestop is an absolute junk shop. Nevertheless, it has been possible to make massively profitable trades in recent years.

"Unfortunately, many people don't realize that fundamentals currently make wonderfully little difference in the market."

No. Many people don't realize that gambling doesn't change the fundamentals of a company. Of course, you can still make profits with speculation. So: a few people. Most of them just burn their money.

And regarding rumors: it doesn't matter what you call them - the evidence is clear.

"Many people don't realize that gambling doesn't change the fundamentals of a company."
I'm afraid you'll have to explain that again. In particular, how this relates to my statement, which you are obviously trying to contradict.

Because it's no secret that most people burn money by gambling.

We should also agree to stick to the truth. Anyone who presents rumors as facts is manipulating.

I was just quoting. And drew the conclusions from the article. They are clear.

My personal opinion: GameStop will of course go bankrupt.

@Charmin As long as the trend of targeted profitability does not continue, I agree with you.

@FinanzFabi It won't. Retail is deader than dead in the gaming sector. Which, by the way, I expressly do not welcome, because a culture is also dying.
