I agree with you on the very long term investment. Something like 20 years. I don't see any "Great" growth for the next 5 years.

They are exiting Tunisia and South Africa, two countries that are not such a big challenge in terms of logistics, but still they failed there.

Considering the African population compared to their user base, i don't see a huge moat. I think the market is still in its infancy and there is space for new entrants.

So it's surely a company with potential in a very long term, but at the moment there are too many uncertainties and on the same time-frame there is surely a better use of your money. Something that grows faster.

@Toshi-and-the-Mountain Basically I agree with you, but the more warehouses they build, the more they expand their logistics and the more they expand, the more difficult it will be for other companies to penetrate this market. I think they have a "huge moat", something like that doesn't happen overnight! And other providers will have to cooperate with Jumia or take it over. ✌️Weiters are still expandable and can also integrate other products through their platform and scale strongly. If they become a strong brand, it will be difficult for other companies. ✌️

@BamBamInvest @Kundenservice If I understand correctly, German posts are translated into English depending on the origin of the user or he has the option of a translation function ? Or should I reply in English ? (German is easier because of the technical terms)

@BamBamInvest your text appears to me in English.

I understand your reasoning about the warehouse. It makes sense, but at the moment the gap can still be closed. Surely in the future it will be more difficult.

@Toshi-and-the-Mountain Basically, the business is still very capital intensive and the expansion costs a lot of money, Africa is also still very underdeveloped. However, warehouses are still being built and in some videos they also say that delivery times have been reduced from 2 days to 1 day as a result of the expansion. They will also be able to further reduce costs through the expansion. But yes, why should $AMZN and co buy the company now, they can still do it when it is worth 10 - 20 billion and the internet and logistics will be even more developed in 10 - 15 years. Just a thought ✌️
