$RIO (+1,42 %)

Hey! I bought some stocks of Rio tinto from Germany and strangely I didn't pay withholding tax in recently dividends paid.

I have another ETF from Germany that I received dividend and no tax too.

Is it normal? Any with the same situation? I'm from Portugal.

It is strange when I don't pay nothing, sorry hahaha

(I have other stocks from other countries and I paid for every dividend)

When you live in Germany it's normal. Stocks from Great Britain and many ETFs are here without "withholding tax".

@timg1355 but that happens everywhere in the world with British shares / ETF, as they simply dont have a deduction at source. You don’t have to be in Germany for that.
