is a leading provider of cloud-based contact center solutions that help companies optimize their customer communications. With over 20 years of experience and more than 2,500 employees worldwide, Five9 serves over 2,500 customers in 104 countries and processes more than 14 billion calls annually.
The Five9 Intelligent CX Platform enables seamless, personalized interactions across multiple channels to increase customer satisfaction. It includes features such as digital engagement, analytics, workforce optimization, AI and automation to increase agent productivity and deliver measurable business outcomes.
In 2023, Five9 was named a Leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Contact Center as a Service and received several recognitions from Frost & Sullivan, including the Enabling Technology Leadership Award. The company also introduced "Agent Assist 2.0" with AI-powered summarization by OpenAI and opened a new European development center in Porto, Portugal.
Financially, Five9 recorded revenue growth of 17% to USD 278.7 million and adjusted earnings of 78 cents per share in the fourth quarter of 2024. Analysts attributed this positive development to the strong demand for AI solutions and raised their price targets for Five9 shares accordingly.
In the DACH region, WTG Communication GmbH was named "DACH Partner of the Year 2024" by Five9, underlining the successful cooperation and sustainable growth in this region.
Despite these successes, Five9 was confronted with demands from activist investor Legion Partners in October 2024, which was seeking cost reductions and a seat on the board. This followed a fall in the share price of around 60% over the course of the year, which increased the pressure on management.
