Companies traded on the stock exchange in everyday professional life

Since I am @Simpson nominated, I now grant an insight into listed companies in my daily professional life.

Briefly about me: I am a mathematician and work in the semiconductor industry in a listed company.

Starting with the software: pretty much all computers in the office run Windows and Office from $MSFT (+0,96 %). The PC's and the monitors themselves are all from $HPQ (+2,61 %) with keyboard and mouse from $LOGN (+1,11 %). The telephone system is WebEx from $CSCO (+2,31 %) and the work phones are from $AAPL (+1,32 %) with $DTE (+1,45 %) contract (and that although next door $VOD (+0,83 %) sits). In addition, there are large monitors in each conference room from $DELL (+4 %).

In the production of the semiconductors itself there are of course many machines from $ASML (+0,73 %), $CAJ (+1,95 %) and $7731 (-0,35 %). The many industrial gases needed come from $LIN , $AI (+0,51 %) and $4091 (+0,53 %). The basic material and chemicals come among others also from $WCH (-1,44 %) and $BAS (+1,17 %).

The purchasers of the finished chips then include, for example. $VOW3 (+1 %) , $BMW (+0,16 %) , $MBG (+0,75 %) and $TM (+0,9 %). But also $V (+0,42 %), $AAPL (+1,32 %) and $SMSD (-1,44 %) are customers.

I have certainly forgotten a lot, but as an insight it should be enough I think.

𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘀𝘇𝗮𝗵𝗹𝗲𝗻 📈

Today, 3M ($MMM (+0,48 %)), Aphabet ($ABEA (+0,15 %)), Canon ($CNNA (+1,95 %)), Capital One ($CFX (+2,29 %)), General Electric ($GCP (+1,76 %)), Hasbro ($HAS (+1,33 %)), Hitachi Construction Machinery ($HCM (+0,96 %)), IDEX ($ID7 (+2,77 %)), Juniper Networks Inc. ($JNP (-1,2 %)), Lockheed Martin Corp. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 🏛️

Tesla ($TL0 (+4,18 %)) - After car rental company "Hertz" ordered 100,000 Tesla electric cars by the end of 2022, Tesla's stock price rose to a record level of over $1,000. This deal has increased Tesla's stock value to over one trillion US dollars. In May 2021, the the security was still below 600 US dollars. Tesla posted a profit of US$1.62 billion in the third quarter, a year-on-year increase of 389 percent. Tesla is thus in the club of companies with a market capitalization of over one trillion US dollars. Apple ($APC (+1,32 %)), with a market capitalization of 2.5 trillion U.S. dollars, is alongside Microsoft ($MSF (+0,96 %)), Alphabet ($ABEA (+0,15 %)) and Amazon ($AMZ (+0,39 %)) are the leaders in this club.

Pfeiffer Vacuum ($PFV (-0,19 %)) - Due to high demand from chip manufacturers, vacuum pump specialist Pfeiffer Vacuum is able to benefit and is again raising its forecast. The company now anticipates sales of between €730 million and €750 million for the fiscal year. Previously, sales of between €710 and €730 million had been anticipated. The renewed increase in the sales forecast is due to the record order backlog. The margin for earnings before interest and taxes is expected to be between 12 and 13 percent. Pfeiffer has been particularly buoyed by high demand from the semiconductor industry over the past nine months. Due to the worldwide chip shortage, chip companies are currently expanding their capacities. To this end, the vacuum pumps manufactured by Pfeiffer are also in very strong demand.

𝗖𝗿𝘆𝗽𝘁𝗼 💎

MasterCard ($M41 (+1,39 %)) - Together with Bakkt, the payment service provider is building cryptocurrencies into its system. As a result, more than 2 billion customers would have access to a wide variety of cryptos and can even earn rewards in Bitcoin or the like on top of that.

In this context, Bakkt will take over the custody of crypto assets. Since the announcement of this venture, Bakkt's share price has already risen by about 470%.

Crypto Fraud Campaign - According to Threat Analysis Group, Youtube channels are currently being hijacked by hacking the creators with fake cooperation requests. After the channels are taken over, they are either sold or used for crypto fraud by distributing it via livestream. This campaign is said to be attributed to a group of Russian hackers.
