Good day today (1/2)

If a company like that drops 5%, I'm right there with them.

Definitely! But does anyone know what the reason for this is? :p

@Fipsi There is a report in the English-language press that vonotobel has halved its stake. But I don't know whether this is the trigger.
Especially as these trades are usually reported with a delay, so only the news but not the actual trade would be the trigger

@lawinvest could be a possibility. It's just not that common for P&G to have such a nice setback, so you can grab it ☺️

I don't even know the company yet. What makes you buy it?

@Ph1l1pp let me guess, you never go shopping in a supermarket/drugstore, do you? 😉

@Ph1l1pp You don't know Pampers, Ariel, Lenor, Always, Braun, Gilette, Febreze, Old space, Wick, Blent-a-med, meister proper and swiffer, just to name a few?

@user35903002213 P/E ratio is not everything. I'm far more interested in the return on capital and for a non-tech company P&G's returns are really decent. But I also bought 70,000 Alphabet yesterday

@user35903002213 Who buys the P&G for razors? 🤦🏻‍♂️
This is about diapers ☝🏻

@user35903002213 Everything you and the other 7.99 billion humans consume every day is from $PG 😁, +/-. This runs, solidly, slowly, from "bottom left to top right". And in the end, you're a stress-free millionaire. You're always shitting in diapers; $GOOGL doesn't have such a secure business model. Add a little $CL to the mix: Then you have the absolute must-buy goodies package. 45% global market share with 63.7% GLOBAL household penetration, i.e. more than half of all households on the planet buy Colgate products every day: Way to big to fail😁

@user35903002213 I wasn't aware of that either. I'll take a look at my head in the mirror tonight. But if in doubt: P&G has the solution to every problem!
@user35903002213 Venus, Gillette, Braun, Pampers, Ariel, Lenor, Always, Head & Shoulders, Old Spice, Pantene, Meister Proper, Febreze, Wick or Oral-B.
A small selection.

Since 1988, $PG has increased its profits by an average of 8% every year: without exception since then.
In 2025, the company is expected to exceed 17 billion dollars in profit for the first time, with 18 billion targeted for 2026.

The company has been paying dividends to shareholders without interruption since 1890 (!!!): without a single year of interruption!
The topic here is: personal dividend yield: i.e. the annual personal dividend calculated on the original entry price: infernal.

I'm waiting to see if Google can do the same .
