20k milestone reached

Unfortunately it's taken longer than expected... but I've now made it to 20k, the target for the end of the year is still 25k

Road to 25k

I've been investing since I was 23, that's 3 years now... I've learned a lot in these 3 years, but I haven't finished learning yet.

I actually save all my positions through a savings plan. $VWRL (-1,26 %) and $VHYL (-1,78 %) be able to top up.

At the moment they are being saved at 25CHF/week and 20CHF/week. I would actually like to have both at 50CHF/week.

It is simply a great quality to have the talent to invest money.
And to resist consumption.
Unfortunately, beautiful cars were more important to me in my youth.

@Tenbagger2024 Why, unfortunately? Saving money is a great thing, but if you deprive yourself of the joy of the here and now because of it, you haven't achieved much in my opinion. Don't blame yourself, money is also there to have fun😉

I told my grandpa how stupid it was to spend so much money on card collections as a little boy, whereupon he asked if I enjoyed it and for how long. When he replied that I often played/swapped cards etc. with my schoolmates, he replied that it wasn't money down the drain.

So now I always ask myself the same question when buying things for my free time.
A bit of a moralizer, but I think the message got across. I just wanted to pass that on 😊

I don't give up everything either, otherwise I could invest even more, I like going out for drinks with friends or to parties, I think we still live here and now, not just in retirement.

I also drive a Renault Megane Rs Trophy. It's very cheap and very sporty, but it's paid for entirely in cash and I bought it when I was 23.

Congratulations! I hit the 20k mark myself yesterday and am keeping my fingers crossed for both of us for our end-of-year goals 💪🏻 I'm aiming for 30k 🤝🏻
