It tastes good with a slight aftertaste. Never mind! Buy the dip!

$HAUTO (+2,82 %) $ I am surprised and very pleased about the announcement of the upcoming dividend of €0.726 per share.

I had rather expected the dividends to remain "stable" at €0.45-0.50 this year.

The aftertaste: the sharp drop in the share price. I have to cope with a 30% share price loss on this position and I think many people feel the same way. For me, this means that I can buy at a very low price and correct my buy-in downwards.

I will buy again next week, not just to increase my dividend. Bluntly according to the motto: Buy the Dip!

I will probably add to my position next week, but I am only at the beginning of my journey and think the current prices are really good as an EK in the long term.

@SAUgut77 In view of the share's high dividend yield, what do you think of similar shares such as $ZIM or $EURN. Although their profits and turnover are very poor, you should be able to recoup your investment within 1-3 years. As well as $HAUTO differs from these.

@III not an option for me, if turnover, profit and prospects aren't right, you're riding a dead horse...don't understand the question 🤷‍♂️🤫😅

Then I'm doing quite well with -2.5%

Hi, is it possible for a beginner to build up a position in this share for around €300 for the dividends and then just keep it for a few years? Because I'm very interested in this stock just because of the dividend and the share price.

Everyone who owns the share on the ex date receives the dividend.

Bear in mind that the share will trade lower by the dividend after the ex-dividend date and that you will only receive approx. 50% of the dividend due to withholding tax. So it is better to buy after the dividend.

I feel for you, I feel the same way. I'm currently down almost 40 %.
For me it's -35%. I will also top up before the ex-day.
Which broker do you use? I assume the neobrokers require the additional application for tax reduction in Norway?

Just a stupid question, but if I buy the share tomorrow, will I get the dividends directly? Because the ex date is May 05th

@risk_taker_1816 Yes. The ex-date is the key date on which you must have the shares in your portfolio.

Do you buy before or after the ex-day?
Imagen de perfil
@M_T1 if you want to take the dividend with you beforehand. This is because the ex-date is the date on which the shares you hold are checked.
@M_T1 yes, but won't the share price go down afterwards due to the dividend?
Imagen de perfil
@M_T1 Yes. Of course. But the correction serves a specific purpose: to prevent "dividend hunters" from selling immediately after the dividend payout.
