When is the right time to exit a gambling position?

Hi folks,

I am a buy & hold investor with a classic core-satellite strategy and bought shortly after the $ARM (+4,69 %) shortly after the IPO as a punter position. As we all know $ARM (+4,69 %) has risen extremely since then and I am currently up over 270% with this position (in absolute figures we are talking about over € 7k)

Now I don't know what to do. Should I get out now and take the profit or continue to hold on?

Remove the stake, let the "win" continue.

- If you don't know where to put the money: let it run
- If you expect more return from another position: reallocate
- Remove the stake

My opinion: Set an SL in the area where I definitely want to take the profit. Alternatively - if possible - work with TSL

ARM has had a fantastic run and normally I would be in favor of continuing to hold the entire position, but if you consider that the semiconductor industry, for example, tends to be cyclical and ARM is much more volatile than many others in the industry in such a phase, according to the P/E ratio, etc., it has already overheated, at some point the enormous sales figures at NVidia & co. and that the enormous sales figures at NVidia & co. could also slow down at some point, and that Softbank holds most of the ARM shares and could throw a few of them onto the market at some point, I would take out a bit of air so as not to be annoyed later if there is a stronger correction. It wouldn't be a bad idea to simply take out the stake and let the rest continue to run. For example, I took 20% out of my ARM position today. Good luck! 🙌
