News and stuff...

Due to the current geopolitical situation, I don't really need to explain myself any further. 😬

@leveragegrinding The purchase of TORM is based on the current market situation in the tanker market, which is characterized by the recent OFAC sanctions against 75% of the Russian Aframax grey fleet. These sanctions have severely restricted the availability of Aframax tankers, which is driving up freight rates for compliant vessels. At the same time, many LR2 tankers are switching to the crude oil trade ('dirty trades') in order to benefit from the higher rates, which further depletes the LR fleet.

TORM is particularly well positioned as it owns a large LR2 fleet and benefits directly from these market changes. The company also offers an exceptionally high dividend yield (~28%), making it attractive for both short-term capital gains and long-term income.

I have diversified accordingly by buying a total of 9 stocks in this segment and am pursuing a comprehensive strategy with exits and partial sales of some stocks.

Welcome to the club 😎 I joined last week at 19.68 with a medium position. On the one hand clearly because of the dividends, but I see it similarly to you.
