I'm getting really fed up

Yesterday: $FTNT (+0,46 %)

Today: $TTD (+0,4 %)

Boy, enough is enough. There's no need for a different share to fall by 30% every day. I'll soon liquidate the portfolio and breed mountain goats and donkeys. Really, you can overdo it with short-selling.

I have now ventured into Fortinet again. I think it's a reasonably fair price

@Khlmysee I think so too, they halved at the beginning of the year, why are they getting in? Buy the dip is ok, but the dip is too sensitive for normal people 😅

My dear,
that must hurt a lot.
Stay brave 😘

The stock market is like compensation for pain and suffering. First comes the pain, then the money!

I know what it's like, I'm always breaking up shares in double digits 😄 I'm already curious which one will be next 🤣

Therefore omit single action.

@user5ca946a11b6a4278 Exactly, no individual actions please 😀
@jkbsmn92
🤣
But it also fits somehow
If it goes up 30%, you're not complaining, are you?

In the stock market, you earn pain money. If you can't stand the pain, you're not worth the gain.

Or you can opt for a solid and boring ETF, a savings plan, never look at your portfolio again and you'll be rich in 10/20/30 years.

(I personally choose the pain)

Maybe just invest in other shares. $TTD has a 1-year volatility of 82% (!!).
So a crash like this is more or less normal.
Over the last few years, the company has had a profit yield in the range of 0.5-0.6%. So close to zero. At the same time, the P/E ratio has continued to rise. Den.gearing ratio (2024) 428. Profit growth +119% in 2024. But profit growth does not mean the same thing as high profits. No dividend.
I can't judge the business model and at least I don't understand it: I'm keeping my hands off it anyway.
In the last 4 weeks, the share has beaten the S&P500 (17%) and, as I can see, also in the long term. But: high volatility.

With highly valued shares, the figures simply have to be perfect

It has been scientifically proven that investing in individual stocks is not a reproducible approach to wealth accumulation. World ETF and that's that...

@market_mastermind_150 "scientifically proven". That may be true if you apply it to the "average investor". Otherwise, you're talking a lot of nonsense. Do your own homework...

If you don't like volatility, there are also bonds

But as long as there is uncertainty about the numbers and the business model at TTD, it will remain volatile, or every time the numbers don't match the investors' expectations, it will often plummet. On the other hand, if there is good news and the uncertainty goes away, it will also go up 90 degrees quite quickly. High valuations have advantages and disadvantages
