The Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) is an instrument developed by the European Union to systematically record and improve the environmental performance of companies and other organizations. It covers all the requirements of the internationally recognized environmental management standard ISO 14001 and goes beyond this in its specifications. The successful recertification underlines $EKT (+0,94 %) once again underlines the fact that sustainable management is not just an aspiration, but an integral part of the company's values.
Energiekontor was certified according to EMAS for the first time in 2022. In the course of this, Energiekontor set itself various environmental targets as part of an environmental statement, which have now been almost fully achieved. The recertification is also accompanied by the publication of an updated environmental statement for the Bremen site, which can now be viewed at www.energiekontor.de/investor-relations/nachhaltigkeit-esg can be viewed with immediate effect. This provides information on the progress made to date and the next measures for further optimization of environmental performance.
