📈 BDC Depot Update January '23 📈

Hello everyone 🙋‍♂️. Today we have an update on the Business Development Companies in the depot ($ARCC, (+0,18 %)
$OCSL,
$ORCC, (+0 %)
$MAIN, (-0,54 %)
$CGBD (+0,29 %)) and some info about how they performed in 2022.

➡️ In total the five BDCs have a market value of ~15,338 EUR and therefore a weighting of 5.03% in the overall portfolio 👍.

➡️ In terms of share price, not much has happened with the BDCs since the last time, but there have been plenty of dividends. 2022 I have a total of 1,174.35 EUR cash flow through BDCs.

➡️ Last year I had to leave the depot with $FSK (+0,04 %) one BDC had to leave the depot, but this was replaced by various additional purchases.

➡️ With +2,7% the S&P 500 and the NASDAQ100 were clearly outperformed.

➡️ For 2023, I will certainly make strategic additional purchases, I also have 1-2 more BDCs on the watchlist. Overall, however, a weighting should be a maximum of 10%.

@Tabularasa the internal fee structure had changed at FSK, which didn't suit me. $HTGC is almost only invested in Pre IPOs and venture funded growth companies, is too risky for me ✌️

It would be nice if you could go into a little more detail on the topic of income. Is 1174,35€ gross or net? What are these "1-2 more BDCs" from your WL?

@TheDividendCollector as all are US stocks 15% withholding tax has already been deducted. other BDCs would be for example $BXSL or $GBDC

@investdiversified regarding the withholding tax I was aware that the amount is without withholding tax. But to my question was so meant, whether in the amount still the German final withholding tax is included or not.

I am also considering adding a few BDCs to the portfolio. The target is a maximum share of 5-6 percent. Ideal as a booster. The decision is tricky, with most counts a good entry, as many run sideways.
