Time to say goodbye...

As already indicated in another thread, I have today parted with my position $VICI (-0,8 %) today. It did what it was supposed to do, move sideways and pay a reliable dividend on a regular basis. The latter was relativized by the weak dollar and I really didn't feel it was enough. Today I took the opportunity to get out with at least a small price gain; together with the total dividends, everything is fine. I see little potential here in the near future, even if interest rates fall. In my view, this could even have a negative impact. After all, high interest rates are the last argument for being invested in the dollar at the moment. As a result, there is even the threat of a further decline against the euro, which in turn will have an impact on dividends and will also limit growth potential. And the free money will not be invested for the time being and will be deposited in the BBVA account, where it will earn a gross interest rate of 3.25% p.a.

I don't actually think they are that bad. They have outperformed the s&p500 YTD. And that doesn't even include the dividends.

@Solitair I didn't say they were bad. It's over for me for now
@Dividendenopi everyone has to do what they feel comfortable with. i will continue to hold for the time being. But my position is also considerably smaller.
In fact, I am currently thinking similarly about my position in reality income

What would be an alternative to $VICI?
@stock_whiz_hhcpk $VENI or $VIDI come to mind off the top of my head.

I currently hold 1,500 shares in $O Realty Income. Of course, the exchange rate is hurting the dividend. However, interest rates will also fall in the USA in the medium term, which will give almost all Reits a significant price increase.
For me, investing in Reits is a long-term investment. There is always a currency risk with foreign shares. Since 2010, the US dollar has been trading at anything from 1.44 to 1.03 to the euro, and with long-term investments this levels out over time.
I think it would be tactically unwise to sell now.

@Yoshika no matter where the money comes from... 😉

Right now an investment in Vici and Realty makes sense. If interest rates fall, prices will rise and the dollar will gain strength again as almost all currencies are even worse, which means that dividends will also rise.
