$thyssenkrupp spinoff

Today had $TKA (-7,45 %) the spin-off of the marine daughter. And quite successfully! The share price started at around 60 euros and is now just under 100 euros. Investors receive 20 shares each. 1 share from the marine division. However, the question arises as to when this will happen and how? Do you have to fill out a form or does it just happen automatically?

This happens automatically. I think they should be booked in by Wednesday.... at least that's what I read on the Internet. Unfortunately they haven't been booked in for me yet either.

@Hotte1909 then that's good. If you don't mind me asking, which broker are you with? My colleague has had them earmarked since Friday and they were booked today directly after the IPO, the colleague is with ING

@TheRealPowell I hold ThyssenKrupp with Trade Republic. It was actually just a swing trade that somehow stayed in the portfolio 😀

@Hotte1909 yes, now that the spinoff is over, i will probably keep the steel division as well

@TheRealPowell I'm thinking about doing it the other way around. The marine division is pretty much the only thing at ThyssenKrupp that makes a good profit 😀

@TheRealPowell I am also with ING, but the written notification from ING was that the shares will be booked into the securities account on October 22 at the earliest.

@Hotte1909 Yes, but you mustn't forget. ThyssenKrupp steel has been doing extremely badly for a decade or so now. The marine division is now listed separately on the stock exchange but still belongs to thyssenkrupp. The order backlog alone continues to saturate thyssenkrupp. If there is now a takeover bid for the steel division or a new investor comes along, it could ensure that thyssenkrupp can regain a foothold in Europe

@Molem82 Someone must have already booked them in. It was not subscribed, ThyssenKrupp retains 51% of which is not put on the market. The remaining 49% were distributed among the shareholders. So only these shares can be traded.

@TheRealPowell I also suspect that the marine division will have to expand further due to the extremely high utilization of orders. Which also means that more steel is needed. I am confident about both stocks.

@TheRealPowell Yes, there is a lot of could and if in it. I'm up about 200%. Plus the shares in the spin-off now. I will probably get about 70% out and leave the rest. I would have liked to have traded Tkms today to pick them up again in a few weeks at 50-55

@Hotte1909 Same and as of 13:00 nothing has been booked in by TR, which will certainly take a few more days for them😉

This usually happens automatically. My broker informed me last week that as soon as the custodian releases the information, the shares will be booked into my securities account.

This is the new share.
60 : 20 = 3 euros, that's how much the Thyssen share price should fall today.
