On the business model: "Our business model has a hybrid structure. We sell both the hardware to operators or partners as well as supplementary services. This includes our self-developed CircusOS operating system, which we offer via a classic software-as-a-service model, as well as gastronomic concepts that are available via license fees. The list price of a robot is currently between 150,000 and 250,000 euros, depending on the configuration. By licensing our software, in addition to the respective one-off revenues from the sale of the cooking robot hardware, we will in future be able to generate additional recurring revenue per robot of between ten and twenty thousand euros per month. per month.

For our customers, this is extremely attractive in terms of price, especially when you consider that normal commercial kitchen equipment such as exhaust air systems, steam cookers and ovens are significantly more expensive - and that we can cover the personnel of up to 50 employees that were previously necessary but often not sufficiently available on the market. staff of up to 50 employees, which is often not available on the market."

Sounds great, doesn't it? đŸ€” I'm just wondering whether and how you want to grow into the valuation. A market capitalization of > €500 million and sales of €1.1 million in 2023 with a loss of > €10 million. In other words, a whole 5-7 machines were sold in 2023. Too hyped for me right now, but if they do it right with potential.
Conclusion: currently too "expensive"

@GordonGekko83 looks like that to me too - at first glance. Maybe they already have some customers with long-term contracts, but I don't see that.

If dat thing is really good, they can grow into it in my opinion. But I don't have the knowledge to make such a risky investment.
It would be more like business angels who invest in 50 different companies and, with luck, 2-3 of them become 100+ baggers, while the rest disappear into oblivion.

An article in AktionĂ€r is almost a contra-indicator âš ïžđŸ€Ł
And officially I don't see anything except MoUs 🧐

MoU Memorandum of Understanding - is neither legally binding nor to be understood as a contract.

There's a lot of wishful thinking from the CEO in the shareholder article, for me it would be nothing at this stage.

The official press release contains a lot of "should... would... could..." đŸ„č

What puzzles me the most here: If the thing is almost ready for series production, why is there not a single movie (at least I haven't found one) that shows the thing in use (and in such a way that you can really see that the box does everything itself).

I'm extremely cautious when it comes to such grandiose promises. What they say in the interview sounds too good to be true.

But: Put it on the watch list. Because IF the robot can actually do what Bullwinkel promises in the interview, it would of course be worth an investment.

@skp It doesn't show anything. It's the same close-ups as the movie on the Circus channel. Has zero meaning.

And - and this makes the whole thing doubly questionable: Circus bought them a year ago and there are no new pictures.

That already doesn't smell good. Which is not a good start with food ...

@Charmin there are some in Cologne (I think) and Hamburg and cater for people via UberEats and co. Why Circus maintains a low profile is actually explained for me by the example of the posts and the "worries" in the comments in this thread. Too much hype would actually hurt them rather than help them, especially at this stage of business development. Or something like this.

@skp That is the next warning signal. You don't provide "proof" that the thing works because potential investors are skeptical. Yes, that sounds perfectly logical. Just like the assumption that hype would do harm. Just my kind of humor.

EDIT: Okay, now I've watched the FAZ video. Lots of questions remain, of course, but it's a start. However, the appliance is miles away from what the man in the interview envisions. So far, it's a Thermomix that can weigh and mix ingredients. And that's not such a huge innovation. Cleaning etc., for example, has not been seen ...
