Do you invest in $1211?

@Semos25
Hello my dear Semra.
As China is too politically risky for me, I don't invest in China. But otherwise I see BYD far ahead. And as a very big competitor for Tesla and VW. Because BYD's price-performance ratio is very good.

@Tenbagger2024 Yes, the risk exists. Nevertheless, I have invested in BYD. I see a lot of potential in the long term. If, of course, nothing comes up

@Tenbagger2024 What exactly do you mean by "politically too risky"? 👍

China, like all or most economies, is also growth-oriented. I don't think the means, e.g. the incentive to consume certain products, are bad and very specific.

@GeldGenie
Yes, I agree with you, the risk is minimal. But you also saw how quickly the Alibaba founder disappeared from the scene. And that CEOs who don't conform to the government's way of thinking are replaced. The government also regulates a lot and quickly. As was the case with gaming, for example, which was only allowed at certain times. Compared to Germany, the government also makes the flagship companies really big with subsidies etc., which is of course good for investors. which is of course good for investors. Without the government, BYD would not have got this far.
But somehow it just doesn't correspond to my values, human rights are not respected and repression and surveillance are the order of the day.
Of course we can start a discussion now, and I know that all that glitters is not gold in Western countries either.

@Tenbagger2024 Yes, human rights is also a discussion. But you don't say that the USA supplies so many weapons and displaces so many people in the Middle East that you don't invest in the USA. I definitely see the economic oppression of the Chinese government as a risk, but morals and values could be discussed differently. I think the USA is worse at the moment

@Esperanza
Thank you my dear, unfortunately the USA is developing more and more into an autocracy.
And here, too, some people are being deported. And the richest person in the world has the power to dismiss state employees.
Unfortunately, the whole world is becoming more and more negative.

@Tenbagger2024 Yes, I think that's so bad. It's like that in many places. Everywhere people propagate that foreigners or something else is the problem (populism and blaming a single group of people), but what is the problem is a divided society and extreme opinions. The world has finally become the way I don't want to see it. I hope there is still a little humanity left somewhere and it saves us from the end of the world

Yes, well, the term "foreigner" is kind of bad. Are they people from Mars or the moon? No, they are just as much earthlings as you and me. I would perhaps rather divide people into good and bad. And unfortunately, there are more and more bad people.
Wars are not getting less, and the negative characteristics that were once supposed to ensure our survival as hunters and gatherers are now rather inappropriate. But unfortunately they are becoming more and more prevalent.
I think the problems on earth are now so big that we can only solve them together. And this is where division is counterproductive.

@Tenbagger2024 I agree with that 💯. I think at least the getquin community is still cohesive... I also hope the world works together more than marginalizing countries or certain groups of people... Hope it won't crash so badly and that we survive it...

@Esperanza
Yes, my dear. But every now and then there is also exclusion and less nice comments. But fortunately rarely.
Excluding groups of people should not happen. That applies to guests and hosts. Unfortunately, as a host I often feel alienated and discriminated against in my own country. That's why I wish that our guests (we might call them foreigners) would behave like guests. I realize that many of them come from other cultures and have had to experience bad things. But it still doesn't justify some of the bad behavior. We have to find each other
