Time to sell...

I had collected them from time to time over the last few months. The position has now exceeded my rule on portfolio size (maximum 10% portfolio share per share). I have now reduced it by about half.

That was planned from the outset, somewhere between 130 and 145, although you have to bear in mind that 145 euros six months ago is not 145 euros today due to the weakness of the US dollar

@Shem_sen That's exactly how I imagine the requests from large corporations: Got money? Give me the data! 😅

@Epi exactly like this🤣

Yes, yes. The €600,000 position with >10% weighting. THE classic investor problem...🤣

You sold shares in NVidia for €700k and it is still weighted at 6% in your portfolio. Extrapolated, you have a portfolio of over €15 million? 😅 Respect

@userc811746a6d9041b6 Not quite the right calculation... This is probably due to rounding differences

The beginner depots here again, the noobs can't even set the currency. Good heavens

@FYBSTRD with that amount i wouldn't even dare to split the deposit... Embarrassing...

Honestly - I think that's great. Above all, you seem to enjoy your job, otherwise you could have quit long ago given the total volume.
So success in your job and in investing. Enviable.

Just to give you something to think about: there are beautiful houses on Lago di Garda or Lago Maggiore with a view over the lake and the mountains. They have good food and wine there too 😉

@NichtRelevant I changed jobs for this very reason and am in the process of buying a little house or a nice apartment in a nice place that I can commute to, as my new job hardly requires me to be there. Maybe even look abroad... but it shouldn't be too far away, it has to be feasible by car

@lawinvest Sounds like a plan and a nice task. If you live abroad, you might even be able to get some tax relief. Unfortunately, many countries where it's nice to live have high taxes (France, Italy, etc.) if you live there permanently, but I'm sure you can think of something. If I wasn't tied down by school-age children, I would probably move again. There are so many beautiful places - and many are not that far away. You just have to do it 🙂
Imagen de perfil
@lawinvest I would head towards Scandinavia or at least the NL or Danish border, you can fish well there🎣
Imagen de perfil
@NichtRelevant I can't be there for more than 180 days because of the job. This means that my main residence will remain here anyway, and so will my tax residence.
1
Imagen de perfil
@lawinvest Ok, then it has no tax implications.
Good luck in any case - it will mainly depend on what you like and how far you want to commute.

So, do you already have an idea where the money should go?
More shares or other asset classes?
Your instinct for shares is still very good, respect!

@Epi I've started playing around with Timeless a bit :D but that's more of a side activity for me than anything else right now...

And I just don't feel confident enough with raw materials. At least not at the moment.

There may be opportunities in equities again soon. However, I have no problem putting the money into the capital account for the time being, because I had reduced my really large cash holding so much in the last few months that there was hardly anything left to take advantage of opportunities...

@lawinvest I didn't actually mean timeless. Rather classics such as bonds, gold and commodities.
But as the saying goes? Master, stick to your last!
I'm curious to see where you see new opportunities...
1
Imagen de perfil
@lawinvest I cannot recommend Timeless! I've been waiting for exits for over 2 years and the assets are constantly falling in value. Then do P2P instead (e.g. Ventus Energy, InRento...) That would be more worthwhile with your capital...
1
@Ikigai Again, I advise against P2P. Increasing defaults on various platforms. platforms. I am gradually getting out.
2
Imagen de perfil
@Gehebeltes-EFH Yes, you just have to do a bit of research and not invest in the cliques... But I also understand that it's not suitable for everyone because of the default risk. But if I had that much money lying around, I would accept it in view of the return.
1
@Ikigai Should I take this to mean that I haven't informed myself enough?
1
Imagen de perfil
@Ikigai
Can only agree with that.
I myself have a P2P share of 9.75 % in my portfolio.

However, I would differentiate between loans (especially consumer loans) and real estate financing.
These are very different investment markets.

I currently use Mintos for P2P and InRento for real estate.

@Gehebeltes-EFH
Yes, sometimes it's that simple.

There's nothing wrong with not liking an asset class. For example, I can't do anything at all with bonds and options.
Imagen de perfil
Respect, Sina. Really cool. I'll overtake you sometime in 300 years ;)

Top, congratulations!

I'll stay invested and let the call options run. 👍

Exactly the reason I don't want to sell stock right now because the weak USD.

Are you going to buy sth else soon ?
Sina, how much does it hurt when you see how much money goes away for taxes 😅 or do you get used to it over time?
Imagen de perfil
@SunriseRanger is the same thing, relatively speaking. So in principle, I don't see it any differently.
But I'm already looking forward to selling Apple one day. Because that's taxable old stock from the portfolio transfer ;)
Imagen de perfil
Very nice, but please don't spend it all at once ;D

What would "billion mike" say now? "Pissgroschen" No, it looks really good :-) Treat yourself ☺️

@ClaytonHG if you tell her on the first date that you are investing and she shows you....😶‍🌫️

6 million portfolio? Do you earn that well as a GK partner?
Imagen de perfil
@GreedyA
rather trend 12 million portfolio and more...

Because she sells HALF of her over 10% position
(600.000×2) × 10 = 12.000.000
Imagen de perfil
@Tacticus that's right... even more blatant. just get a high seven-figure sum inherited ill...
@GreedyA According to Sina's own statement in the introductory post 1 year ago, the money comes entirely from the income at the large law firm. Remarkable. Very.
Imagen de perfil
@Gehebeltes-EFH then perhaps you need to study all my posts, because the information is incomplete ;) my portfolio was still worth around 1 million. The rest was transferred from a gift.
But that's not quite right. There were about 8. the rest is income

Great!
I like individual stocks too, but anything less than 1% would be too costly and stressful for me personally, regardless of capital size.
