Yes, but you pay a part of it to the providers, they are not that cheap. But it's better to take money and multiply it than do without it, even if the fees are higher.

@DerUnwissende That's right, it's a pretty expensive custody account. But it makes sense to decouple the VL custody account for the sake of clarity alone.

Yes, but in the end you get more out than you put in, so it fits.
I paid €40 into $EXXT via VL at ebase for seven years and then transferred it to scalable. It has performed well. Out of sheer nostalgia, I now simply continue to save €100 every month on the Nasdaq 100, but with a cheaper ETF.
I now invest the paltry 6.65 that my employer gives me as a vl with Ginmo without any additional personal contribution and no longer bother with it.

@Solitair However, you could top up the 6.65 yourself for the state subsidy, which I believe is up to €400 per year, i.e. a subsidy of €80
@Ren13 What kind of state subsidy do you mean?

@Solitair 20% on VL in ETF savings plans up to €400 per year - until then you could sensibly increase your VL payment.

You just have to state in your tax return that you are saving VL.

@Ren13 The limit for the allowance is €40,000 taxable income. Some are above that.
@Ren13 Oh, the employee savings allowance or whatever it's called, I've been over it for a long time.

@Ren13 I'm currently also still with Ebase/FZN... Do I understand correctly: You invest the 6.65€/month with Ginmon Global VL and then pay 0.75% fees per year?
@ur_dbfn That's how I would understand it. 0.75% on the deposit volume (not on the money paid in)!

I myself have my VL account with OskarVL. I also had a look at Finvesto at the time. A friend of mine is there.

However, I myself have only had ~1 year of experience with Oskar-VL. Opening an account, making a deposit and investing have not caused any problems so far.
