Tesla postpones US launch of the cheaper Model Y

$TSLA (-5,94 %)

Tesla's cheaper version of the Model Y, known internally as the E41, will be produced in the USA later than expected, according to Reuters. The company is now planning for 250,000 units in 2026, having originally planned to start production at the beginning of this year. The delay comes as Tesla struggles with outdated model lines, rising tariffs and increasing political scrutiny surrounding Elon Musk.

I really need to look into going short over the holidays, I think Tesla would be worth it 😉

@BavarianLion relatively difficult at the moment, as a floor has formed, but if this is torn, it would be a free fall. 😬

@BavarianLion Believe me - this has never paid off for anyone 🙀You go short with KO certificates, for example

@BavarianLion Tesla will soon be back above 300 dollars and heading towards 400 dollars.

@Alexander_Bitcoin If there's one thing I believe, it's not this. 😂

Thanks for your answers! Simple question: I've been on the stock market for a while, but have always invested "normally" until now! Do you think it is worthwhile to deal with long, short, KO... at all? Or should I stick to my classic conservative buy & hold strategy?
@BavarianLion That depends on your intention, expected return and risk appetite. I only trade long and short derivatives in 60% of my portfolio. Mostly KO, sometimes also discount or bonus certificates. Real long or short positions are not worthwhile for most investors, as you have to be really knowledgeable and can lose more than your stake.
@Alexander_Bitcoin 300 could be and that's what I'm waiting for. A safer put/short option is hard to find at the moment. I wouldn't go short or long at 250. It can either go down to 220 or up to 300. So I'll wait until one of the two is there and then get in on the countermovement.

@Multibagger I am now 33 and would like to build up assets in the long term! My portfolio currently stands at 230k (but 20k in the red because I got back in in the middle of the crash, paused for 1 year for personal reasons)! I'm not a "greedy" guy per se, would be happy with an average 6-8% return(plus dividend increase every year)!

@Multibagger I wanted to learn about KO, Short... because it simply interests me 😉

Reuters has been wrong so often lately. Always some dubious source. They want to push the price down again in order to buy before it is announced on Tuesday that the low-cost models are coming next month and Robotaxis are also on track, although this was also denied by the media

@Lvca I can't judge the quality of Reuters' sources, but I can judge the reliability of Tesla and if there were minus stars on Google, Tesla would get some from me...
