War chest already emptied? What will happen in the event of a real crash?

@Epi In the event of a real crash, the emergency fund comes into play 😉

@mitinvest Oh my! War chest, emergency fund... and what happens if the washing machine breaks down? Cash reserve? 🤔 😬

@Epi Not my problem, the landlord has to take care of them 🤣
Imagen de perfil
@mitinvest So if you have nothing else after the war chest and emergency fund, things can get bad quickly. 🤷

@Epi Why should he have a lot of cash? You lose more money waiting for the crash than in the crash. And if he's fully invested and the washing machine is broken, my goodness, he'll just have to sell something 🤷

@mitinvest Have you rented a washing machine?

@Solitair Communal laundry room in the apartment building... In Switzerland, the infrastructure is part of the apartment, not like in Germany.

@DonkeyInvestor Doesn't this logic also apply to the war chest and the emergency fund?
Imagen de perfil
@Epi yes, of course
Imagen de perfil
@DonkeyInvestor Oh, but then the war chest and the emergency fund are always identical to the total value of the custody account. Because if necessary, you can always sell some or all of it. 🤷

I was wildly annoyed that I don't have a war chest 😱
Will be changed now.

@DerMartin and then you wait for the crash. And lose more money waiting than in the crash. The left kidney as a war chest is okay. Everything else is a waste

@DonkeyInvestor Yes. I realize that. But I'm someone who also wants it to be "fun". And buying Novo Nordisk yesterday at €75 - I would have laughed my ass off. From now on, I'll have a small investment reserve of 5% in the house, which can go somewhere where at least 25% will go down (but I'm convinced in the long term).

@Lumimyrsky that's the way it should be

Neither do I. What is happening right now is nothing more than atmospheric disturbances.

Well done 😎🤑

I would have waited a little longer at $KLAC. In my opinion, a cheaper alternative is $AMAT
Imagen de perfil
@RealMichaelScott The bottom should have been reached at $KLAC, or where do you see it?
$AMAT would be interesting and will remain under observation for me.

@mitinvest I only look at the fundamentals of the company and see $AMAT as having a much more attractive valuation. The business model is also quite similar.
