Iranian Crypto Exchange Nobitex Hacked for $48 Million—Funds Transferred to TRON Wallet

Iran’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Nobitex, has suffered a major security breach, resulting in the loss of approximately $48.65 million in USDT on the TRON network. The incident was flagged by on-chain investigator ZachXBT, who identified suspicious transactions linked to Nobitex wallets. The stolen funds were quickly moved to unidentified TRON addresses, suggesting a well-coordinated attack.

TRON (TRX) is a decentralized blockchain platform designed to support smart contracts, decentralized applications (DApps), and digital content sharing. It aims to create a global digital entertainment system by eliminating intermediaries and allowing direct transactions between users. TRON’s native cryptocurrency, TRX, is used for transactions and governance within the network.

As for TRON’s price target, analysts predict TRX could reach $0.30 to $0.50 in the near future, depending on market conditions and investor sentiment. The recent surge in active addresses and transactions suggests growing adoption, reinforcing bullish expectations for TRX’s price movement.

This hack adds pressure on Iran’s crypto infrastructure, raising concerns about security and regulatory oversight. Nobitex has assured users that cold wallets remain secure, and losses will be covered through its insurance fund. However, the breach highlights the increasing risks associated with centralized exchanges and the need for enhanced security measures in the crypto space. $TRX (+0,08 %)
