But if that happens, XRP will also benefit really well from it

@risk_taker_1816 Why should XRP benefit if RippleNet transactions are conducted in USDC?

@stefan_21 If it runs via the ledger then with the fees

@PaulPK What makes you think that? USDC is already running on a large number of blockchains. None of them have received any price boost because of it. At 0.00001 XRP per Tx, 1 million transactions bring just 10 XRP fees... Let's say there are 10 million Tx per day. That's 100 XRP in fees. How should XRP benefit from this?

RippleNet is nothing more than a pure messaging and settlement layer designed to connect banks.
Payments can already be made there in the traditional way in fiat or optionally in XRP and, in the future, in USDC. XRP does not play a mandatory role at all by default. The banks do not have to use the coin. It also makes no sense for banks to use the coin.
Of course, Ripple advertises XRP as a "bridge asset". However, since stablecoins have been around, this use case has died once and for all. And now Ripple is desperately trying to create new use cases for XRP. Hence the infiltration of the US strategic Bitcoin reserve by Garlinghouse.
