I believe Adyen will have the potential. With huge companies as McDonald's, Mango, Uber, Spotify and Ebay. Also i see a lot of smaller companies like cafes and shops using it here in the netherlands but also around the globe.

@Pesce Adyen is not a competitor to companies like Visa, Mastercard, etc. They are providing the Platform to bring the customer who is using a Credit Card and the merchant together. Adyen is managing all the transactions - online and offline via the terminals.

@Pesce from performance perspective I fully agree - I’m in favor of Adyen.
Might be I’ve misunderstood, I thought who “breaks” the duopol of Visa and Mastercard

@Pesce I think Visa and Mastercard will have the ability and expertise to buy up any serious competition. I would therefor personally stick with the duopoly in the long run.

@Pesce Maybe home bias? In Germany Adyen is unknown (but Paypal is overly popular)

@Soprano do you mean as in online payment method because adyen does not offer that. Instead their" backend software works behind the scenes as an end-to-end platform for payments, data, and analytics services. After integrating Adyen into their own online, mobile, and in-store payment platforms, merchants can accept over 250 types of payment methods -- including credit cards, debit cards, mobile wallets, and other payment apps"
