BYD bonus shares

Others complain that they don't get bonus shares. I'm confused as to why I'm getting so many bonus shares. I originally had 10, I got 8 bonus shares today and then somehow I got 12 more bonus shares. Now I have 30 BYD shares instead of 10. $1211 (-2,89 %) Or did someone miss their share XD

but the total value has not increased. I had almost 100%, the amount is double the amount of my purchase, i.e. the same as before the "split". But for me it shows -45% or something. Heard it's the same for you guys. :/

As I understand it, you get (in total) 20 additional shares for every 10 shares, but their value was already cut in thirds a few weeks ago. The bottom line is that everything should remain the same. However, the tax authorities are happy. The bonus shares, which were only (supposed to) compensate for my loss in share value, were treated as a stock dividend. I have to pay tax on these bonus shares like a profit...

@DerHauptmann I had 43 shares before the split and now I have 129 shares. The buy-in has not yet been changed. This means that I am currently 3500 euros in the red although I was about 300 euros in the black before. Where can I see that I also have to pay tax on the shares? My calculation pots have not changed.

@Semos25 That will probably take a while yet. I was only clearly in the red today with Flatex's "credit balance". Why was that? All additional shares (e.g. 86 in your case) were counted as dividends. I have to pay capital gains tax on their value. Without a split, I could live with that. However, the tax burden is not offset by any capital inflow. Where the shareholders' benefit is to be seen here is incomprehensible to me

I haven't even gotten it yet, buy in isn't adjusted yet either. Therefore a good 80% minus 😂
