Decision support

Hello to the community ✌️

I would like to reduce the size of my portfolio.

my portfolio currently consists of 1 ETF and 40 individual shares.

my goal is to reduce the number of individual stocks to around 30-32 positions over time 🤔

There are currently 2 positions at the top of the closing list

$NKE (+1,81 %)
$REGN (+0,73 %)

I would like to add 2,3 more positions, but unfortunately I don't have the imagination to get rid of them 😅

Maybe with the help of the community here, to make the decision a little easier😬

On the other hand, I also want to $COST (+0,66 %) & $WM (+0,27 %) despite the still high valuations, but they are absolute Dauerläufer🤷🏼‍♂️

What are your opinions?

which positions would you throw out?

and why exactly these?

Thank you !

Servus, yes $NKE I agree, as they produce cheaply in Vietnam and tariffs are massively damaging there.
$REGN is actually one of the few individual stocks I hold 😅
You could look for companies that your ETF already tracks (e.g. $UNH or $AMZN ) and see whether you are happy with the weighting or whether you would like to weight it higher per individual share.

I like your depot. Why only... probably very similar to mine 😬

I had done the same, from 40 positions to 26 in the meantime. The goal was 30 🙈 I had many positions that you also have.
For example, I got rid of $CAT, $ASML, $MCD, $UNP, $PG, $MC & $NKE, I'll wait a little longer for the positions to turn positive and then get rid of them.
In your case, for example, I would have thrown out $MRK and the s&p500global first.

But in the end it's a matter of taste what you
do :)

Just a tip :)

@Aktienorang-Utan that's good to know that someone is going through exactly the same thing as me 😂
$ASML & $MC I'd hate to kick out because a little Europe can't hurt I think 😬
But why do you think $MRK and $SPGI should go ? 🤔

@Invest2impress As I said, it's a matter of taste :) $ASML has flown with me and $MC is still flying.

I no longer see much potential in $MRK. And S&P500Global, the position is still very small, so I would have liquidated it.

@Invest2impress I would also part with $VICI.

@Aktienorang-Utan $VICI would also have been such a candidate 😬 I have only recently added S&P Global to my portfolio and want to further expand the position 🧐

@Aktienorang-Utan I would never throw out, co-contracts 50 and plus years, super divi. Super real estate, I don't see it :)

Perhaps set a downward stop loss on some positions. This allows profits to continue and stocks in a downward trend are eliminated.

@Invest2impress $WM is always too expensive. I have them myself. Just add a savings plan and go :)

Ok, so it would be my depot would be a strike candidate:

$NKE $PG $MRK

Boah otherwise you have top stocks from my point of view, couldn't throw anything out :D

@WarrenamBuffet
That's right, with these big elephants it is often difficult to generate growth and performance.
Although Merck is not too expensive

@Tenbagger2024 nene too expensive was related to $WM.

Personally, I don't see any outperformance against the market for the strike candidates.
