Petrobras expects record refinery production in 2024

attachment

Brazil's state-controlled oil and gas giant Petrobras $PETR3 (+1,13 %)
$PETR4 (+1,53 %) reached an important milestone in the company's operational success in 2024 with record production at its refineries, cementing the company's role as a key player in the global energy sector.

PBR's record refinery production in 2024:

  • Petrobras' refinery production reached a new record in 2024, mainly due to an increase in gasoline and S-10 diesel production

  • Gasoline production rose to 24.4 billion liters, surpassing the previous record of 24.2 billion liters set in 2014

This impressive increase in gasoline production underscores PBR's ability to meet domestic demand while optimizing refinery efficiency.

  • Diesel production reached an impressive 26.3 billion liters

This underscores PBR's critical role in ensuring energy security for Brazil and its Latin American neighbors.

  • In 2024, the company also achieved an impressive refinery utilization rate of 93.2%, up from 92% in 2023

This efficiency improvement reflects the company's commitment to improving refinery operations, ensuring high production while maintaining operational sustainability.

PBR's refinery network, one of the largest in Latin America, plays an essential role in meeting national and regional energy needs and contributes to Brazil's economic stability.

@DividendenWaschbaer do you want to top up
where is your buy in?
Imagen de perfil
@Memo0606 If I had money at my disposal, I would always add to it. Buyin is at 6.21.
I would also have liked to buy something at 5.x. But that's the way it is. No money, no cookies.

@DividendenWaschbaer if you didn't have the share would you make a first purchase?
Imagen de perfil
@DividendenWaschbaer $VALE3 looks even more interesting I think

@Memo0606 Yes, I would also make an initial purchase. The dividend tastes good and even if it can be/is very volatile, I still believe in the company in the long term.

$VALE3 It's just in a different business segment. But I haven't really looked into them. Not really at all 😂
I'm quite happy with $RIO

@Memo0606 Vale is more raw material iron etc. and Petrobras raw material oil/gas/renewables

And before I would take Vale, I'd rather stick with Rio Tinto 😉

@Memo0606 is simply a long-term investment with a good dividend

@SAUgut77 thanks for your opinion
I have raw material $OXY and $CNQ maybe I will buy more there

Well, in terms of dividends alone, I'd rather expand Rio and Petrobras.

do you think $PETR3 is currently worth buying?

@Memo0606 I am invested in $PETR4 and have built up my position in 2 tranches so far. However, I would or will certainly increase my current position further if the opportunity arises...

Whether it is currently a buy for you must ultimately be decided by you 🤷‍♂️ had set my first at 6.2x and the second at 5.8x.
