I do not understand the context in terms of morality. I also do not find ethics here. Why is it immoral to invest in BP, for example? Do they distribute child porn or are they involved in the illegal organ trade ? Do they plunge countries into civil wars to get their raw materials ? What exactly is so immoral ?

@KleinviehmachtMist The climate crisis is due to flooding, poor soil, etc. at the expense of poorer countries in particular, so morals and ethics do play a role for energy companies. But also with companies that produce lithium for the production of batteries for e-cars or other energy storage devices - this does not necessarily make the discussion about sustainable companies easier...

Barren soils and floods have less to do with our CO2 emissions than one might think. I think it is the green wave that puts morality to the test. Palm oil and ethanol as an admixture for diesel and gasoline to improve the eco-balance, for the cultivation area we then cut down rainforests. Nuclear power is now green - so is gas. Wind power and solar but also the whole eMobility - about the disposal of the resulting waste we will think about in 10-20 years. I do not see any superiority of these investments. Another obvious investment would be in recycling and waste management companies, but here again the question is whether they just bury the waste or whether they actually use regenerative energies to completely convert the waste back into raw materials for industry. Another example just because something has a green label and can be remunerated accordingly it does not have to be green. Here is the current example of the woman who died in the vegan restaurant because of her milk allergy.
