Why is $NVDA not a candidate for high quality and growth for you, but $TSLA is?

Question for a friend. :-D

@Charmin They are a Tier 1 candidate and I think they will do well in the next few years. However, I personally find it difficult to build up a large position because many parameters in their business are difficult for me to predict and for a large position I have to understand the business well and need 100% conviction. So far I have covered Nvidia indirectly via ETFs. But I'm happy to be convinced by an individual position, especially if the risk/reward makes them so attractive that they can no longer be ignored.

@thewolfofallstreetz And with the other titles (such as Palantir, Tesla) can you predict the business?

@Charmin What will their data center segment look like in 10 years? How many GPUs will Nvidia be able to sell in 10 years and at what price? I don't have a satisfactory answer yet that tells me how much I want to pay for it today. Do you?

@thewolfofallstreetz at least I have a much better idea than when FSD is coming :)

Despite its impressive performance, AI is still in its infancy. With growing demands (scope, speed, type of tokens), tens of times more computing power will be required.

But at the same time, this is the case: The demand will increase with better computing power: If I can suddenly make entire movies, for example, then people will want that.
