I was ridiculed 2-3 years ago when I said Xiaomi is a company of the future for me.

I actually see $1810 (+1,55 %) actually at a minimum of 20-30 euros per share in x years.

What do you think about Xiaomi?

The share has quite a lot of potential, but I don't think it will reach €20-30. That's too high. The product range is also quite large, so $1810 offers competition to many other companies.

Basically yes, but China...

What are the motives behind this idea?
Did you at least make plenty of purchases back then to make your price target worthwhile? 😎

Well, the Chinese won't make any significant innovations without modern EUV machines from ASML, will they? Western smartphones are already being manufactured with new chips.

I bought back then and waited out the lean period until today. I know that I swore back then that I would sell them as soon as I was +/- at zero, as China represented too great a political risk. Now I have 27% book profits and have FOMO to sell them, but at the same time worry about a conflict with Taiwan. Economically, I still see great potential, just by entering the car industry. I will probably wait for the quarterly figures in 10 days. They should be just as good as the last ones.

I bought 3000 Xiaomi shares 5 years ago for around €1.55 each and am really happy that things are finally looking up again. I think the company has developed very well since then and also has good prospects. All the products that Xiaomi has touched so far have been of good quality at comparatively low prices. I don't know whether €20-30 is realistic. I think it is generally difficult for Chinese companies to match the valuation of comparable US companies, because unfortunately there are political risks.

I won't sell, but I might set up a stop loss.
