But you should also not forget that the last salary increase was 10 (!) years ago (from what I can gather from the internet) and the 35% is spread over the next 4 years. So basically, the 35% increase is spread over 14 years, i.e. 2.5% per year. And then it no longer looks so absurdly high.

@Hitchkock89 Yes, that's clear and it wasn't the first offer. But if things go on like this, jobs will be cut again and so on. You just have to make sure you find a happy medium, otherwise there will be a bang at some point.

@Doe the 35% refers to a period of 4 years and includes bonuses etc.
Yes, it's quite a lot, but when you see what the incompetent managers get in terms of salary and its adjustment, you can certainly understand the demand.
