Hello getquin!
Today we are talking about various issues, such as the abolition of abortion rights in America, but also about dreaded recessions in the world. In addition, the G7 summit is currently taking place in Germany, where many current issues are being discussed, including food shortages.

1. G7 Summit in Garmisch-Partenkirchen
This year was expected to mark the beginning of the world economy's recovery from the epidemic. But just now, recessionary anxiety is taking the place of hope. The shock brought on by the Ukraine crisis is a long-term threat to the world economy.
The G7 conference is debating a US government proposal to impose a global price restriction on Russian oil. The major objective, though, is to make sanctions against Moscow more effective.
There aren't many choices left for the G7 nations to help the world economy. Alexander Kriwoluzky, an economist from the German Institute for Economic Research, issued the following warning: "There is a genuine chance of entering a lengthy recession. 2. Financial support from US corporations for abortion
Following the US Supreme Court's decision on Friday to overturn the landmark Roe v. Wade ruling, many US corporations have moved quickly to offer support and financial assistance to employees seeking abortions in states that have banned the procedure.
Faced with the possibility that millions of women may soon cross state lines to have the procedure, many employers have included "critical health care" in their benefits packages.
The measures in some cases reflect the increased responsibility that companies now feel to respond to pressure from investors, customers and employees when company values do not comply with the laws of the states in which they or their employees are located.

3. Is Russia bankrupt?
A 30-day interest payback term with a balance of about $100 million US Dollar was due last night. The first Taiwanese investors are now lamenting that they have not yet gotten their interest refunds. It would be the first default on a foreign loan since 1918 if rumors are accurate and Russia is unable to pay back this debt, which seems likely.
