The Hammerhead Project by ExxonMobil ($XOM (-0,24 %)) in Guyana is the most recent project. ExxonMobil plans to invest between 12k and 180k
barrels of oil per day. In addition to oil production , natural gas is to be produced, specifically between 60k and 120k
cubic feet per day. To achieve these production targets, ExxonMobil plans to use up to 30 wells. These include both production wells that produce extract oil and gas , as well as injection wells, which help maintain pressure in the reservoir and maximize production.

ExxonMobil expects oil production in the year 2029 , which means that extensive preparatory work will continue over the next few years.
