Opinión para $MO, $BATS, $2914

Today I would like to know from you if you invest in companies from the tobacco industry or if it is morally indefensible for you ? 🤷🏽‍♂️

I myself currently have Altria and British American Tobacco (BAT) in my portfolio and soon Japan Tobacco will follow 🚬🔥

I like to invest in tobacco companies because they have a very high dividend payout and a good dividend growth p.a. 😍💸

I also believe that it will continue to go up consistently over the next few years 🚀

Of course, people in Western countries are smoking less and less, but smoking is becoming more and more popular in Asian countries every year ✅

I think it is morally justifiable to invest in tobacco companies 👌🏽

On the one hand, I am a smoker myself, and on the other hand, every person can choose whether to smoke and risk their life or not 😊✌🏽

What is your opinion about tobacco companies ? 🚬🤷🏽‍♂️

Altria 🙋🏼‍♂️ think it's ok. Most smokers like to smoke. Sure it's stupid that it makes you sick, but we have that with alcohol or some medications too. 🧐

As a total non-smoker, I personally would never invest in this industry. I also don't see a great future due to the ever increasing political pressure worldwide.

I neither smoke nor am I a friend of tobacco products because I hate the disgusting 🤢 smell of smoke. But since in the western world you can't forbid anyone anything according to the motto "Let life live" and "My body, my choice", I don't think investing in tobacco is morally reprehensible, quite the opposite. No one is being exploited, forced or murdered, etc., in contrast to Nestlé, Amazon, the arms industry, the cobalt industry and so on. The smoking consumers have made a conscious decision to destroy their lives according to the above-mentioned motto and are therefore beyond help, as they cannot cope without smoke. So why should it be morally reprehensible? With Nestlè it's completely different, as the property is being taken away from you against your will. At Amazon, many people have to work long hours for extremely low wages and are therefore humiliated. So I don't see any reason not to invest in smoking industries for moral reasons.
