This morning I had the thought of possibly shifting my core to an SRI alternative.

If capitalism kills out of indifference, did communism in Russia/China starve out of love for equality? The criticism is basically justified, but mMn strangely formulated and the comparisons there limp already very much. Industrial human extermination, crusades and slave trade on one level only because the result is the same?

@Europoor justified criticism, the example of communism and Christianity was chosen here because all of this was defined as religion. People believe in it, but it only exists in their heads.

You just have to be aware that the World contains almost 4 times as many companies. If you look at that, I find the difference in the sustainability comparison (e.g. from Morningstar) now not sooo outstanding 😅 But you would definitely have gotten more return in recent years

@SharkAce That's right, finding a good ESG or SRI screened index is not that easy. But I'm not at all familiar with the topic myself yet, so please feel free to share ideas or suggestions if you have any.

I came across it a while ago because it was always said that it is so sustainable and offers a good alternative... of course it is more sustainable if it includes significantly fewer companies (hence of course the better return) but does that really offer an alternative to the msci World?

Absolute bullshit mMn. I don't invest to make the world a better place. Just as little as the money on the giro of all Germans there is not primarily to improve the world. Jeffinger and elong only have to wiggle their little toe and achieve more than all of us in our entire lives. Sri is only for his own conscience

The examples were chosen for the reason that all these things only exist in people's heads.
