Infineon raises sales target for new chip factory in Villach.

In the midst of the global chip crisis, the semiconductor group Infineon opens its newest plant in Villach, Austria, on Friday.

The factory was completed around three months ahead of schedule. When the factory is fully utilized in three to four years, an additional sales volume of around two billion euros per year can be expected, the Munich-based chip company announced on Friday. Previously, a turnover potential of 1.8 billion euros per year was announced.

In the portfolio 🚀 Bringing semiconductor production to Europe can't be wrong. A good investment given current and future high demand.
